In this time, my class created projects centered around our own reactions and mood surrounding the situation.
I made this video in the midst of quarantine and every time I felt like the sunset was beautiful or something was worth recording, I filmed it on my phone (though many of my shots are portrait instead of landscape). The music I created was made specifically to emulate my emotions during this time. The music is muddy and ambient: I wanted to recreate the hazy, surreal feeling of time during quarantine, all slipping together (what day is it?), and as if the world was happening around you; you're watching it and not actually in it. I edited this video first in WeVideo, then on an app called 'Filmmaker Pro', where I added the text, and made the song in SoundTrap. I enjoyed focusing on creating a video and focusing on details in the video that I don't usually get to in music itself. I enjoyed marrying the two! Below is a picture of my song in SoundTrap.
